Biloxi's Memorial

I took these pictures at Biloxi's Town Green, home of the Hurricane Katrina Memorial.

The memorial was dedicated by "Extreme Makeover" in 2006.

The case contains items from buildings and homes in the area.

Over 235 people died in Mississippi that day.

The top reaches 12 feet, the same height of the surge waters in that area.

The water came over 90 past Hard Rock Casino.

Birds

Here are some of the pictures I took while I was off for Christmas.

I took these pictures on Hwy 90. The artwork was created by artists Marlin Miller and Dayton Scoggins after the Oak trees were covered in the salty waters of Hurricane Katrina. In order to preserve them they were sculpted into ocean related art. I think it is absolutely amazing that they were done with a chainsaw.

This picture is also taken on Hwy 90 near the Biloxi casinos. It made the perfect picture with the boat silouetted against the ocean.

I like this picture of me and the seagulls. A little bread and they are friends forever.
